I used to be able to play about....4 years ago lol..but i stopped.
And now i forgot how to sight read....can anyone help me??
Because there are songs that I really wanna learn how to play...What is an easy way to learn and memorize notes on a piano and on a music sheet?
Wait, so do you want to know how to sight read better? or memorize faster? ahh well, ill answer both lol.
okay, well, sight reading comes easy to me, but if you wanna get better at that, take some easier music you have, and just play through it. then try sight reading harder pieces. also, i find if i look at a piece and think its too hard, i give up, but then when my teacher gives it too me, is mysteriously becomes easier to read. so get in the mindset that you HAVE to learn it......or.........else . haha, idk, pretend you have a deadline , then just practice.
NOW...for MEMORIZING.
when i want to memorize a piece of music, i play it through a few times, just, how you would normally play it. then i try it by playing the song a few times just looking at the music, not at my hands, so i can kind of get the feel of it...then, i take one measure at a time and start memorizing. it may take awhile, but it seems to work most of the time. once i get the one measure without looking at the music, i try the second. then when i have the second measure, i play the first and second together...and so on and so forth. if you're stuck on a spot, DON'T SKIP OVER IT. figure out what you're doing and fix it right away.
well, hopefully I answered your question lol.
happy playing! %26amp;good luck : )What is an easy way to learn and memorize notes on a piano and on a music sheet?
ya know those little circular things that people put on things at garage sales? Get some of those and put them on your keyboard. Kinda like naming keys. Like start at middle c and work you way up naming them with the little circular things and stick them on the keyboard. Once you know them, you can take them off. The come off real easily. After that just go through the music and name all of the notes and write it on the music sheet. After a while you should begin to remember. And as for sight reading, The more you play the piano, the better you get. so prettymuch all you need to do to get better is practice and what you learned 4 years ago should all come back to you.
